Although we had exchanged many emails with Pia online, it wasn’t until we finally met her in person at the TESSAN Berlin Castle Night in September that we truly knew—Pia is exactly the kind of traveler we’ve been searching for.

What touched us most was that Pia embodies a core value at the heart of the TESSAN brand: courage.
There’s no doubt—Pia is a true warrior of life.

But no matter what, her courage to step out of her comfort zone and face fear head-on deeply moved and inspired us.
Before this, we were already thankful that Pia chose TESSAN as part of her travel essentials. We were even more grateful to receive her honest feedback and user experiences, which allowed us to be part of her journey and witness those unforgettable moments along the way.

In our deeper conversations, she shared how she was once stuck in a repetitive, predictable job—until one day, she met someone she could truly trust and who later became both her best friend and travel partner: Camila (who is also one of our 100 Travelers and has her own story to tell).
Together, they broke out of that monotonous loop and took the first step into a life-changing journey.
Of course, the beautiful landscapes along the way were rewards for her courage.
But throughout this process, Pia also shared many moments of hardship—yet she overcame each one and transformed them into powerful stories and lasting memories.
Along the way, she cried, she got lost, she was scammed, she fell ill, and even experienced food poisoning.
Many people imagine the beauty of a traveler’s life, but few talk about the raw realities behind those beautiful photos.
To us, these details of the journey are what test and shape a traveler.
As Pia herself said, she found herself again through it all.
We still remember that moment we finally saw Pia at the Castle Night in Berlin—her bright laughter and radiant energy lit up the entire room.
